The Catenian Association

Province 8

What is The Catenian Association?

The Catenian Association is an international association of Catholic men who meet socially, at least once a month, in local branches, known as Circles. The Association's name is derived from the Latin 'Catena' (a chain) with the Circles being the links in the chain. The emblem consists of a continuous chain of links surrounding a cross. This symbolizes that our Catholic faith is at the centre of all we do.

Brian McGarry, SJ. outside Harare, to help the victims of torture, inflicted during the lead-up to the recent elections in  Zimbabwe, to come to terms with their trauma. The cost of this project is running at £25,000 per year and as Kevin commented, “our contribution will be only a ‘drop in the ocean’, but as we all know, every little bit counts”.
